West Wing

In fact, I have several thoughts about the most recent episode of the greatest television drama in history. In general, it would seem that, after several years in the wilderness, the West Wing has found its footing, just in time for the end of the series. The formation of the Santos Administration and the transition are things that the audience will care about, and I'm glad to see that they seem to have regained some focus and have stopped simply filling time.

Specifically, I am glad to see Sam back for nostalgia's sake. I'm glad that Josh and Donna have moved from a tawdry sexual relationship to something with substance. I'm glad to see President Bartlett and Santos collaborating in a fairly interesting way. And I'm glad to see that Teri Pollo has stopped being so icy and mean.

Wouldn't it be nice if we had a president with a little gravitas.

Weekend Review

This blog seems to need some direction. Like I said, I see this as a general forum for people to say hello, complain about the weather, and mention anything else going on. Oh, please let me know of any other links you'd like to see on the sidebar, or if you'd like anything else on the main page.

That said, yesterday was rather disappointing for me. The NY Rangers got blown out of the water (6-1) and showed very little ability of any kind in their first playoff game in 7 seasons. So that's that...

I should add, I am looking forward to Mike's review of the West Wing and then hearing Randy's thoughts on the Sopranos that just ended. Hooray for still having time to waste on television.

I can feel a case of the mundays coming on already.

Hi!

Hi!

Wednesday, April 19, 2006

Welcome!

Hey guys,

I set this up largely for some of us who are leaving this year to keep in touch, but also to have a general forum for each of us to be able to post about anything that caught our eyes and let everyone else know about it. So, you read a great paper in your Micro sequence? Post about it here. Saw some cool news on the Board's site (like the elimiation of M3)! Post it here. Yada, Yada, Yada...

If you're interested in having post privileges, get a blogger account, then email me and I'll invite you to be a member of the blog. Otherwise, everyone is welcome to comment at will.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Best,
Ariel
